Topaz Cottage

Loved, it loved it, loved it! Wish we could have stayed longer. I’ve never been so relaxed.

We had a wonderful week at this cottage! An absolutely beautiful property, nestled among trees providing privacy. The cottage is immaculately maintained, comfortable, modern, spacious and very well stocked. The BBQ and large outdoor deck made cooking and dining easy. Although the pictures were great, the real-life version does it way more justice. I would recommend this place highly to anyone.

My husband and I spent a wonderful few days here. The cottage had everything you could wish for. It’s a special place to put your feet up on one of the many seating areas inside or out, and just be. And I don’t do that often enough. We will be back!

Our time spent at Topaz Cottage was unlike any other summer cottage vacation we have ever had! The interior was absolutely stunning and everything and anything that we needed was conveniently supplied. There was plenty of space to accommodate our group, and the privacy on the lake was much appreciated. We would absolutely recommend Topaz to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway.

Our stay was wonderfully cozy and restful. The thoughtful touches began as soon as we walked in, with a complimentary bottle of wine and tips on all the nearby attractions and places to eat. I loved reading about the original artwork sourced from the Muskoka area. The beds were luxurious and so comfortable. The master bedroom balcony was nice touch, we enjoyed our morning coffee on the lounge chairs overlooking the water. We ended most of our nights with s’mores around the firepit. It was the perfect weeklong stay.

Topaz offers the perfect getaway from the city. Situated on a quiet lake, there is a spacious dock and easy access right to the water. The home itself was exquisitely furnished, meticulously clean, and had lots of room for the whole family to comfortably stay. The place also came equipped with every household and cottage item you could think of – really taking the stress out of packing. We enjoyed our days lying in the sun and swimming, dinners on the deck, and nights spent by the outdoor firepit. The hosts were attentive and gracious, making our stay even better. We would highly recommend visiting Topaz and look forward to returning next summer!

I was very fortunate to celebrate a milestone birthday with family in Topaz cottage on a glorious fall weekend. The cottage has a wonderful waterfront with patio and fire pit which we enjoyed. It is fully equipped, modern, charming, close enough to some hiking and shopping. I highly recommend this wonderful cottage. It's a winner and we'd love to come back!

It is so rare for something to over-deliver, but this place did. The gorgeous lake view is showcased by floor to ceiling windows across the back. The view from the dock is stunning, and once the sun sets the fire pit is the perfect spot to roast marshmallows and tell stories. With the lights on low, the view of the cottage from the shoreside fire pit is the epitome of picturesque. It is truly a benchmark in what a modern, cozy cottage should be. We will assuredly be repeat visitors!

Mark and Sharon care deeply about their guests’ enjoyment and deliver in spades. Topaz offers a piece of tranquility with only a few cottages spread along a quiet lake, yet very accessible to the charming towns of Muskoka and Parry Sound. We highly recommend Topaz and Lakeside Cottages.

From original inquiries to the moment you leave the cottage, everything was amazing. Sharon has a true talent for answering questions guided by one's needs. Fully equipped with top-notch appliances and items, it makes one feel at home. We visited in the winter and it was magical (we got tons of snow). The main living room is bathed in sunshine all day given the cottage's location. The (real!) fireplace is also gorgeous at night. I hadn't been able to relax as much in months. You are offered a binder with a list of outdoor activities to do, from snowshoeing to skating, etc. I cannot recommend this experience more highly.”

Topaz was a gorgeous cottage right on Rickett's Lake. Modern, warm décor with amazing artwork by local artists. Sharon was very responsive and accommodating. We will be back!

The cottage felt extremely homey and was without a doubt one of the most well-equipped rentals we have ever stayed in. The property was awesome, and we managed to make great use of the fire pit – I can only imagine how nice it must be in the summer.

The cottage itself is stunning – beautifully furnished and appointed with anything and everything you might want or need. The lake is incredibly scenic and serene, with great views from both floors of the cottage as well as the large deck. We especially enjoyed spending time around the outdoor firepit. We took several short trips to nearby hiking trails, towns, and wineries, and appreciated the detailed binder which had great suggestions for local activities. The hosts have really thought of everything.

Our family has had lots of cottage experiences, and Topaz is BY FAR the most luxurious! So beautifully appointed, so well equipped (much forethought) and oriented with a panoramic view of the lake and untouched crown land on the far shore. For our 3-generation grouping, the cottage’s two levels of bedrooms and living spaces were perfect loads of room and privacy for everybody, any time of the day or night! I can’t wait to experience the other 3 seasons at this beautiful retreat!

Topaz Cottage was everything we could've wished and hoped for! It was gorgeous inside and out. The cottage was immaculate, spacious, super comfortable and ultra luxurious. We have rented many cottages from several different sources and I highly recommend booking Lakeside Cottages compared to all others. We will definitely be visiting again!

The inside of the cottage was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Every amenity you could think of was there. I loved the layout, area upstairs and another one downstairs, the kids felt they had their own floor.
