Welcome to Lakeside Cottages. We are Sharon & Mark, two entrepreneurs and triathletes first captivated by Muskoka over 30 years ago.
We are passionate about sharing this experience with others through our boutique Muskoka property, affectionately known as Amber Cottage.
Amber Cottage is well-appointed inside and out to comfortably accommodate eight guests. This beautiful cottage is equipped with a host of amenities including a chef’s kitchen with high-end stainless steel appliances, BBQ, pizza oven, Traeger smoker, gas and wood-burning fireplaces, outdoor fire pit, grand piano, pool table, reliable internet, air conditioning, washer and dryer.
There are numerous places to relax in the outdoor furnishings from the deck to the dock, and Amber is well-stocked with puzzles, books, indoor/outdoor games, and a variety of personal watercraft.
Our property has been professionally landscaped by award-winning Toronto design firm Fiona’s Garden Gate.
When booking with Lakeside Cottages, you are dealing directly with Mark and Sharon, not a rental agency. This gives us the ability to respond quickly and the discretion to accommodate special requests where possible. We know our cottage and property inside and out, and care to provide a memorable experience for our guests.

We would not exist if not for the natural beauty and dedicated residents and service providers of Muskoka. To support our community we donate $100 from each weekly rental to two local charities:
GAP is a community-based charity helping those in difficulty. Their current focus is on providing fresh food, transportation and mental health support. Each week, they provide a free meal program and a free food giveaway for anyone struggling to obtain an adequate food supply.
Protects more than 40 properties throughout Muskoka. These nature reserves and conservation easements consist of land, wetlands and/or shoreline and are vital to preserving Muskoka’s watershed. Some properties have hiking trails open for public access, and all are accessible by expert guided hikes known as Nature Quests.
Vacation time is precious and we know you want to make the most of every minute. Whether you want to hit the ground running with a paddle, a paperback or a pillow, go for it. We’ve assembled a top-notch team to ensure you arrive to a sparkling, well-equipped and fully-functioning cottage.
